Delanie Ricketts

Research Assistant, 2016–17

Delanie Ricketts is an interaction designer with an inter-disciplinary background. From managing SMS services for medical lab technicians in Uganda to designing digital life skills trainings for hospitality employees around the world, Delanie enjoys creatively and collaboratively tackling design challenges for diverse populations.

Delanie holds a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies with Honors from UC Berkeley, with a minor in Global Poverty and Practice. As an instructional designer, Delanie has designed and developed online courses for international development agencies and practitioners worldwide. Delanie is currently pursuing a MA in Design and leading the mental landscapes project with Dan Lockton. She is interested in exploring how metaphors and tangible models can be used to express complex experiences in order to elicit new ways of thinking and understanding.
